College Football Picks for Saturday 11/1/2025

Alabama let me down last week, winning but not covering, leaving me 0-1 for -$100. Sometimes you go for it and flop. I did the same in the NFL, 0-1 for -$100, and my World Series pick lost for -$50. See details in my last post.

I’ll be honest, I have three picks for Saturday that have point spreads that seem too low to me, and I don’t understand why. I don’t love that. I’d rather understand why they are where they are. But I researched them and stayed with them. Here are my picks for college football this weekend:

Miami (FL) -10.5 (-112) at SMU for $50 to win $45

Ohio State -18.5 (-114) vs. Penn State for $50 to win $44

Georgia -7 (-114) at Florida for $50 to win $44

I looked for injury news for Georgia and found Florida is missing two of their best receivers. The OSU-PSU line dropped from 20.5 to 18.5; at one point I saw 16.5. I even posted on X to see if anyone understood why it dropped. (Not that I have any following worth mentioning.) I do understand that Penn State was highly ranked early on, so maybe they finally get their act together, but that doesn’t really explain the drop. And SMU’s schedule almost makes it look like they’re stepping out of a smaller school schedule to play a ranked team. Apologies if I’m missing something obvious.
