Mr. Monday Night! Mr. Monday Night! Mr. Monday Night!

I still remember Tony Bruno playing the Mr. Monday Night! sounder introducing his pick for the game each week on radio. I was young enough to think it meant he was good at picking the featured game of the NFL’s weekly schedule. Now, it’s so watered-down, the game is almost an afterthought. Although, I love that they play “In the Air Tonight” for the intro. Phil Collins is still da man.

So is Patrick Mahomes – at least, I’m hoping so. After a split on Sunday, I’m taking the Chiefs -3.5 (-106) at the Jaguars for $50 to win $47.50. I’m living with the hook because the buy down offered too little payout. I think the Chiefs are starting to roll with Xavier Worthy back, and Jacksonville is thriving on turnovers while Kansas City has given up just one. Plus, the Jaguars offense hasn’t been explosive.
