Two College Football Picks for Saturday 10/11/25

My picks in college football have been much more successful than my NFL picks this season, so I’m going to push things a bit more for Saturday. In college football, I was 3-1 for +$64.15 last week, just missing my third straight perfect Saturday as Penn State lost outright as a big favorite to UCLA. That was after finishing the final two weeks of September on 5-0 run for +$228.95 in the college ranks.

I considered a lot of games for this week – I think there are several games worth looking at – ultimately settling on two games for now. Here are my picks for Saturday, both starting at noon:

Alabama -3 (-112) at Missouri for $100 to win $90

Ohio State -14 (-113) at Illinois for $50 to win $44.50

As readers know, I’ve been riding with Alabama a lot this season, including the last two weeks. I am starting to think they might be worth an early pick to win the national championship, but I’ll settle for a road win Saturday. Missouri is 5-0, but I don’t think they’ve really beaten anybody. They did defeat South Carolina, and I’ve written previously about that being part of the Gamecocks’ slide out of the Top 25. Ty Simpson is playing well at quarterback for Alabama, and I think they’ll eventually overpower the Tigers with the run game. Granted, I got a little lucky last week with the Crimson Tide getting a late touchdown to cover the spread, and the $100 pick here is as much about me having a bank roll cushion and wanting to play at a higher level as much as it is about my confidence in the pick. But I think Alabama covers this small spread.

I was considering Ohio State a little bit this week, than I heard Nick Saban discuss the game. He talked about the Buckeyes defense giving up only 25 points all season and being “dominant” against “two really good teams” in Texas and Washington and their quarterback completing “80% of his passes.” Then he talked about Illinois be “decent,” but the Big 10 not being as deep as the SEC. They also got crushed by Indiana, squeaked by USC (who has played no one else), and Illinois hasn’t really played anybody else. If I haven’t said this previously, I’ll say it now – I have ZERO problems taking good picks or good information from other people, especially a guy like Saban in college football. Again, for me, the $50 pick on OSU is about having a cushion in my personal bank roll and wanting to push the level at which I play as much as my confidence in the game. Adjust accordingly for where you are.

I considered a few other games, including Florida State and especially Oregon. Find The Bet Life @BetLifeBlog on X and on Facebook for those possible picks, and to comment and give us your picks.
