Two NFL Picks for Sunday 10/12/2025
I gave back a big chunk of what I won last Saturday by going 1-2
for -$51.75 on Sunday and mostly Monday in the NFL when Kansas City decided not
to play defense for about the last 90 seconds of the game. I know – there’s no crying
in baseball or gambling. And, yes, I’m glad the Chiefs didn’t just not cover,
they lost outright. Anyway . . .
Here are my picks for Sunday:
Steelers -6 (-109) vs. Browns for $25 to win $23
Broncos -7 (-106) “at” Jets for $25 to win $23.75 (game in London)
These are conservative bets on what I consider mediocre to good
teams versus teams that have just been bad so far. I root for the Steelers, so I
generally don’t bet on them, and the Browns defense is statistically one of the
best in the league. But they’re still 1-4 and have a rookie quarterback making his first
career start against a Steelers defense getting two players back from injury
after a bye week.
The Broncos haven’t been as good as I thought they’d be, but they
roared back late last week against the previously undefeated Eagles to win, and
they’ve only lost to the Colts and Chargers in back-to-back road games. Meanwhile,
the Jets are 0-5 and just got crushed by a Cowboys team with offensive line issues
(otherwise I may have taken Dallas this week against Carolina).
