The public watched Charles Barkley rip up his betting ticket on the Manning cast: I feel about the same way after getting my ass kicked all weekend – 1-6 for -$281. I may be taking a break from offering picks on the blog. I actually lost much more on my own doing all the things I should never do as a gambler. I had the personal bank roll to lose, but I’m just not doing well enough to offer picks for public consumption. And I almost feel like I’m doing a frikkin’ confessional when I review a losing week. My Patriots pick was actually one I discussed with a “handicapper.” He gave it out as a “free pick,” saying he almost used it as a premium pick, and I had been considering the Pats anyway. So, I went for it and lost. My fault, not his. But I do wonder how people feel if they had paid for the pick. It just doesn’t make sense to me to pay for picks.
